Job Summary
Perform all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies while maintaining clean work areas including catwalks, walk-ways, and the general plant area. Execute plant maintenance and proactively learn plant functions to complete assigned tasks. Cross train to learn all jobs of the plant and be able to substitute when necessary. Take direction from and work in a team with all other site personnel. Obtain all knowledge to complete assigned tasks and fit test utilizing appropriate PPE as needed. Support production and maintenance during the second shift at Birdsboro Quarry.
Required Qualifications
- One month of related experience and/or training
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Mathematical skills including ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Problem solving
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision requirements include distance, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Pre-employment drug testing
- Pre-employment Physical
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarries
- OSHA or other relevant safety certifications
