Job Summary
Maintain playing conditions and safely cover the field with the tarp during inclement weather. Set up and break down batting practice, then execute pre-game, post-game, and in-game field preparations as assigned. Assist in keeping the shop and break room organized and professional. Report two hours before each game and remain for one hour after, working an average of 34 hours per week across 81 home games from March through October 2026. This part-time, limited-term role requires availability for 50% of Nationals home games, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends, with potential overtime for weather or non-baseball events.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be available for at least 50% of Nationals home games (81 games) during the season
- Must be 18 years or older
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Successfully pass a Background Investigation
- Ability to lift, carry, and transport up to 50 lbs
- Available to work days, nights, holidays, weekends, overtime if necessary
- Ability to work in a professional, team atmosphere
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure and/or frequently deal with a rapidly changing work schedule and environment throughout scheduled shift
- Move quickly under unpredictable situations
- Ability to learn while on-the-job
