Job Summary
Groundskeeper responsible for landscaping, grounds maintenance, and snow removal where applicable, including mowing, weeding, planting flowers, inspecting irrigation, weed control, mulching, trimming shrubs, and removing debris to keep community grounds clean and visually presentable. Provides courteous resident service, maintains tools and equipment, assists with pool maintenance if applicable, and follows safety procedures. Requires a High School Diploma or GED, 6 months of groundskeeping experience, basic computer skills, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures with the ability to work independently or on a team. May involve on-call scheduling and potential additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- 6 months in demonstrated knowledge and experience in general grounds maintenance techniques (Required)
- 6 months in previous groundskeeping experience in the apartment or manufactured housing industry (Preferred)
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Ability to endure fluctuations in temperatures as working conditions require constant outdoor work
- Ability to respond to business needs after normal business hours
- Ability to work an on-call schedule
- Proficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery
