Job Summary

Perform routine groundskeeping and seasonal tasks including mowing, edging, weeding, pruning, fertilizing, planting, debris removal, and trash collection. Support winter operations by completing snow removal, de-icing, and sanding of walkways, roads, and other surfaces. Safely handle, mix, and apply herbicides and insecticides while maintaining accurate logs for applications and inventory. Operate, clean, maintain, and weatherize tools and equipment including mowers, blades, small engines, and snow equipment. Inspect the property to identify grounds-related needs, address issues within scope, and communicate hard-surface repair needs to the manager. Use handheld devices and computers to document work tasks, update records, and track daily production. Respond professionally to guest and staff questions or concerns related to the grounds and surrounding areas. Work day shifts with weekends required, including flexible or long hours during winter months under icy and/or snowy conditions.

Required Qualifications

  • Operation of front-mounted snow plows and truck bed mounted salt spreaders
  • Former hands-on (OJT) training or Technical training in skid steers, forklifts, and backhoes
  • Experience in small engine repair and troubleshooting
  • Safe operation of hand tools and power equipment to avoid injuries and damage to casino and hotel property
  • Must be able to work flexible and/or long hours during winter months
  • Ability to get to work during icy and/or snowy conditions
  • Valid Washington State Pesticide Application License/Certificate or ability to obtain valid Washington State Public Pesticide Applicators license within the first year in this job classification
  • Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission
  • Pre-employment drug testing

Desired Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD)
  • Eighteen (18) months operating heavy equipment
  • Basic knowledge of groundskeeping as it pertains to commercial properties/resorts
  • Proven knowledge of lawn care, soil composition, chemical applications, chemical handling, pesticides, aeration, fertilizers, and equipment operations pertaining to commercial grounds maintenance, landscaping, and snow removal operations
  • Snoqualmie Tribal Member/Native American preference in hiring
