Job Summary
Conduct daily grounds upkeep for multifamily buildings, including trash removal, dumpster cleaning, parking lot blowing, power washing, and landscaping tasks like pruning and irrigation monitoring. Execute make-ready preparations for vacant units by clearing trash and debris. Perform proactive preventive maintenance to uphold property standards and safety, while documenting all activities and communicating status updates to residents and supervisors. Report supply needs and collaborate with maintenance teams and external contractors to ensure seamless property care. Maintain shop organization and assess cleanliness standards for compliance. This role requires a flexible schedule covering weekdays, nights, and weekends, with on-site work involving exposure to elements and physical demands such as lifting up to 50 pounds and operating maintenance tools.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Basic Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to walk, stand, climb stairs or ladders and access various areas of the property
- Must be able to push or pull items and reach overhead
- Must be able to bend, stoop or kneel
- Must have dexterity of hands and fingers and ability to grasp tools
- Must be able to see to identify plants, weeds and pests and read computer screens
- Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
- Must be able to hear to detect sounds indicating potential issues, such as machinery noises or alarms
- Must be able to lift or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to operate various maintenance tools such as mowers, trimmers, blowers and irrigation systems
- Must be able to use mobile devices and applications for work-related tasks
- Must be available for a flexible schedule including weekdays, nights, and weekends (including Saturdays and Sundays)
