Job Summary
Conduct daily grounds upkeep for multifamily buildings by picking up trash, cleaning dumpster areas, blowing parking lots, and executing basic landscaping including trimming, pruning, and monitoring irrigation. Thoroughly clean breezeways by removing cobwebs, mopping floors, and power washing, while assisting in preparation of make-ready units by removing trash from vacant apartments. Document all maintenance activities, report supply needs, and collaborate with team members and contractors to ensure property safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain shop organization and communicate clearly with residents and supervisors regarding ongoing work. This role requires a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and weekends, with physical demands involving climbing stairs, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating maintenance tools like mowers and blowers.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Basic Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to walk, stand, climb stairs or ladders and access various areas of the property
- Must be able to push or pull items and reach overhead
- Must be able to bend, stoop or kneel
- Must have dexterity of hands and fingers and ability to grasp tools
- Must be able to see to identify plants, weeds and pests and read computer screens
- Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
- Must be able to hear to detect sounds indicating potential issues, such as machinery noises or alarms
- Must be able to lift or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to operate various maintenance tools such as mowers, trimmers, blowers and irrigation systems
- Must be able to use mobile devices and applications for work-related tasks
- Must be available for a flexible schedule including weekdays, nights, and weekends (including Saturdays and Sundays)
