Job Summary
Maintain the overall cleanliness and presentation of the community, including curb appeal, amenities, leasing office, parking lots, and all other property areas. Operate large power lawn mowers, edgers, hand tools, and vehicles for ground maintenance and landscaping activities. Maintain landscape and garden areas by planting grass, trimming trees, and fertilizing plants. Inspect lights regularly and replace them as needed. Lead pool maintenance tasks, including hosing down areas, picking up trash, straightening chairs, and winterizing or preparing for summer. Assist with apartment make-readies by removing trash from vacant units, caulking, checking appliances, and verifying smoke detectors. Comply with OSHA safety standards and company guidelines, reporting discrepancies immediately to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager. Assist the maintenance department with other assigned tasks. Work overtime and non-traditional schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Possess a valid Driver's License, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation.

- Basic math, reading and writing skills
- Ability to maintain a friendly, professional attitude with prospects and residents

- Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot equipment
- Willingness to work harmoniously with other staff, vendors, contractors, and residents
- Organized and detail-oriented with a strong level of accuracy and the ability to multitask
- Ability to prioritize and adhere to strict deadlines while following all safety requirements
- High level of integrity; ability to handle confidential resident information
- Ability to work overtime, as well as a non-traditional schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
- Must have a valid Driver's License, current automobile insurance and reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of high school/GED or specialized vocational training
- 1+ years ground maintenance experience or related experience
