Job Summary
Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings, ensuring all common areas and amenities remain neat and free of litter. Remove trash and items from vacant apartments prior to make-ready processes, transfer waste to dumpsters or storage, and maintain storage areas. Complete assigned minor and routine service requests as directed by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager, assist in the turn process, and change locks per policy. Verify that gates to pool areas function according to codes and safety standards. Distribute resident notices and communications as necessary. Report any observed hazards or dangerous situations to appropriate supervisors. Treat residents with respect, answer questions, and respond sensitively to maintenance complaints. Comply with safety policies by attending routine meetings, completing OSHA training, and reporting accidents promptly.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas
- Ability to work inside and outside in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, hail, wind, sleet)
- Ability to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to twenty-five (25) pounds independently and fifty (50) pounds with assistance
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule, which includes taking 'call' during evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to attend and participate in the property's routine safety meetings
- Ability to complete required training on OSHA and other safety related laws and requirements
- Ability to report accidents and incidents promptly and accurately
