Job Summary
Maintain the grounds around the building and keep debris free. Regularly clean and maintain gas and diesel islands, including washing with a Hotsy and keeping pumps clear of obstructions. Refill water buckets and towels, replace paper towels in dispensers, and ensure Crind receipt paper is stocked. Perform minor repairs when maintenance is unavailable and report major issues to the Maintenance Manager. Conduct snow removal in winter and check backup generators and fuel levels weekly. Inspect equipment on islands, maintain Chevy trucks used for Grounds Keeping, keep windows clear, ensure pickups are fueled and oiled, and post daily water readings. Provide general cleaning of well houses, generators, storage sheds, and surrounding areas, and report any leaks or maintenance needs to the Maintenance Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Physical capacity to walk extensively and climb stairs
- Stand and move for up to four hours
- Lift up to 75 pounds and carry 10-20 feet
- Stooping and bending
- Exposure to water and cleaning chemicals
- Read, write and speak English
- Clear communication with staff and supervisors
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to work without supervision
- Task oriented
