Job Summary
Responsible for maintaining the appearance and health of the plants, trees, flowers, and lawns at Mission Hill Family Estate. Duties include pruning, mowing, trimming, planting, shoveling, watering, pressure washing, fertilizing, digging, raking, weeding, sod laying, and tidying gardens and grounds. Assist in the set-up and take-down for winery events, maintain the gardens of winery residences, and perform maintenance on turf and grounds. Previous experience or passion in horticulture or landscaping is required. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and be capable of physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience or passion in horticulture or landscaping
- Ability to use hand and mechanical tools
- Valid driver’s license
- Physically fit and capable of bending as well as lifting and carrying up to 22.7 kg (50 lbs)
- Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a team environment
- Flexible availability, some weekends required
Desired Qualifications
- Certificate in horticulture considered an asset
- Chemical applicators certification considered an asset
