Job Summary
Maintain lawns, trees, bushes, and landscaping throughout the facility, removing snow and spreading salt during winter months. Keep outdoor furniture, traffic paint, and all pedestrian and vehicle traffic areas clean of trash and debris while changing liners. Operate groundskeeping equipment, vehicles, and machinery in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and safety policies. Submit daily work logs, progress reports, and completed work orders to supervisors. Coordinate with skilled trade personnel and notify vendors of equipment discrepancies. Comply with all codes, regulations, and safety procedures for the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission and National Indian Gaming Commission. Monitor the casino environment to ensure guest and co-worker safety. Report to work on time in professional attire. Required to be on-call 24 hours a day, including weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to operate basic lawn maintenance equipment
- Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission
- Must be able to meet deadlines and work independently with limited supervision
- Must be able to follow all Environment, Public Health, and Safety (EPHS) requirements
- Must have strong computer skills
- Must be able to handle busy and stressful situations
- Must possess poise and tact
- Must be flexible with working hours and days off
- Must have good organizational and communication skills
- Must have knowledge of blueprints and schematics with attention to details
- Must be able to meet all non-supervisory training and education requirements
- Must be confidential
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Significant reaching, twisting, crawling, stooping, grasping, climbing, kneeling, and use of hands, wrists, arms and legs
- Moderate exposure to hot and cold temperature variations
- Moderate exposure to dust, odors, elevated working conditions, hazardous equipment and high voltage
- Required to be on-call 24 hours a day, including weekends
- Report to work on time
- Follow personal appearance standards
Desired Qualifications
- Previous Grounds keeping experience
- Valid Iowa Driver License
