Job Summary
Waters plants for residents, trims bushes, and plants flowers or shrubs as requested. Assists all maintenance personnel with short-term, preventative, and emergency maintenance for buildings, grounds, and equipment. Ensures walkways and parking lots remain clear and safe during inclement weather, including cleaning cars after snow storms. Performs all work assignments and orders timely while maintaining equipment in safe operating order. Restores vacant units to like-new condition through painting, flooring, and trim work. Assists with trash removal, minor inside tasks, and traffic directing during events. Washes the company truck and coordinates vendor shipments. Participates in scheduled training and maintains professional confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduation or GED
- Grounds or maintenance experience
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must conduct all business with a professional manner and with a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to use hand tools, automatic / electrical machinery, carts, and dollies
- Thorough knowledge of MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) and OSHA compliance
- Ability to exhibit efficient computer skills
- Must have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record as specified by the Company and by the Company's automobile insurance carrier
- Must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, background check, drug test and employment references
Desired Qualifications
- Technical training in mechanics, electrical, plumbing, landscaping, or HVAC
- Two years' experience in painting and housing / commercial refurbishment
- Two years' experience in a similar maintenance position
