Job Summary
Groundskeeper responsible for maintenance, care and upkeep of the District’s Grounds and related equipment. Duties include operating and maintaining equipment, supervising a crew in weekly site maintenance (mowing, weeding, edging, cleanup, playground areas, non-selective spraying), training and coaching personnel, reporting irrigation/landscaping needs, assisting in district stadium cleanup/repairs, repairing/installing fences (wood and chain link), completing landscaping tasks (planting, rock/bark work), on-call snow removal, applying fertilizer, and other related duties. Requires safety compliance, strong physical effort, and ability to follow work orders and priorities; minimum 1 year grounds experience and a valid Colorado driver’s license; background/fingerprinting checks are required.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year Grounds experience
- Valid Colorado Driver’s License
- Criminal background check and fingerprinting
- Insurability requirements of the Colorado School District Self Insurance Pool
- All certifications, licenses, and registrations must be valid and unexpired
