Job Summary
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, parking lots, and recreation areas. Remove trash daily from grounds, offices, and homes; detail entry areas, sidewalks, and streets using brooms, mops, vacuums, rakes, and blowers. Operate tools and machinery efficiently while assisting with snow shovelling, trash removal from vacant units, and minor repairs like screen installation or painting. Clean air conditioning vents, replace filters, and smoke detectors. Report maintenance concerns to management and comply with OSHA safety regulations and standard operating procedures. Operate a company or personal vehicle to travel to various locations for work purposes.
Required Qualifications
- Entry level to 6 months of general custodial/maintenance experience
- Beginning level understanding of grounds maintenance
- Ability to use hand and power tools and cleaning equipment applicable to job requirements
- Communication and effective interaction with co-workers, managers, vendors or residents; sufficient to exchange or convey information and to give and receive work direction
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Ability to operate a company or personal vehicle or electrical cart
- Ability to independently lift/carry supplies or equipment up to 65 lbs
