Job Summary
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, district offices, pools, recreation areas, parking lots, and surrounding community areas. Remove trash from grounds, offices, homes, and the perimeter daily. Detail interior and exterior spaces using tools like brooms, mops, vacuums, rakes, and blowers to clear debris, dust, leaves, and brush. Operate tools and machinery efficiently while assisting with snow shovelling, trash removal from vacant units, and minor repairs such as screen installation, lightbulb replacement, and touch-up painting. Clean storage areas, assist service technicians, maintain air conditioning vents and filters, and report maintenance concerns to management. Comply with OSHA safety regulations and safe work practices including lockout/tag-out and ladder safety. Operate a company or personal vehicle to travel to various locations for work purposes.
Required Qualifications
- Entry level to 6 months of general custodial/maintenance experience
- Beginning level understanding of grounds maintenance
- Ability to use hand and power tools and cleaning equipment applicable to job requirements
- Communication and effective interaction with co-workers, managers, vendors or residents; sufficient to exchange or convey information and to give and receive work direction
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Ability to operate a company or personal vehicle or electrical cart
- Ability to travel to other regional locations for work, training, meetings, and other work-related activities
- Ability to independently lift/carry supplies or equipment up to 65 lbs
