Job Summary
Conduct general groundskeeping services for all Athletics facilities and grounds under direction and supervision. Prepare work areas, assemble materials and tools, and clean equipment after completion while reviewing tasks with Groundskeeper II/III to ensure safety mitigations. Attend technical and safety training, use all PPE, and report or correct safety hazards immediately. Participate in scheduled campus and department events while adhering to employee handbook protocols. Work Monday through Friday during normal hours, with flexibility for evening or weekend events as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Good work ethic, including punctuality and good attendance
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills and knowledge
- Ability to demonstrate increasing competence with training and experience
- Willingness to accept and follow directions
- Ability to read and comprehend training materials
- Ability to read, understand, and follow safety instructions
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules to accommodate after-hours school-related functions and activities
- Demonstrated values of inclusion
- Manual dexterity and strength to work with hand tools
- Ability to lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to walk/stand, bend/crouch/reach, and at times sit
- Willingness to work outdoors and indoors
- Willingness to work evening or weekend hours
