Job Summary
Seasonal Groundskeeper for Natural Areas & Trails (6-month term) responsible for vegetation management and maintenance of City natural areas and trails. Duties include operating two-stroke engine tools (string trimmers, hand and backpack blowers), mowing and mechanical vegetation control, trash removal, assisting park users with questions, and adhering to PPE and safety protocols in varied weather and field conditions. Requires a valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds; schedule typically 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. with potential for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays; travel within the county as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license & have 2 years of a good driving record.
- OR Any combination of related education, experience, certifications and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job, AND Possession of a valid driver’s license.
