Job Summary
Groundskeeper I responsible for care, maintenance and development of lawns, landscape beds, trees, irrigation systems and general grounds. Operates light-duty maintenance on tractors, riding mowers, push mowers, weed eaters, edger, chain saws, backpack blowers, sprayers, rakes, shovels, and other small tools. Outdoor work with exposure to noise, machinery, dirt, dust, debris, chemicals, and odors. Ability to learn tool use, maintenance methods for landscapes, irrigation systems, and reading labels for pesticides/herbicides, with strong safety awareness. Must have physical strength to lift up to 50 pounds, report for work on time, and work flexible hours including some weekends and holidays; overtime may be required. California license required.
