Job Summary
Maintain trees, shrubs, flower beds, and landscape features at assigned apartment communities through trimming, weed removal, and seasonal tasks like leaf removal and storm cleanup. Safely operate landscaping equipment including mowers, blowers, and irrigation systems while performing basic cleaning and reporting needs to the supervisor. Respond to resident concerns regarding outdoor maintenance and collaborate with property staff on curb appeal initiatives and community events. Regularly inspect grounds to identify safety concerns and ensure compliance with environmental guidelines and company policies. Maintain records of work performed and incidents, taking proper precautions to prevent accidents. Work independently with general direction from the Maintenance Supervisor, balancing priorities across multiple sites.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of landscaping or groundskeeping experience
- Strong knowledge of plant care
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems
- Strong knowledge of grounds maintenance practices
- Ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to balance priorities across multiple sites
- Good communications skills
- Ability to interact with diverse tenant population
- Self-starter attitude
- Ability to work with little supervision and direction
- Valid Colorado driver's license
- Acceptable motor vehicle record
- Acceptable background information, including criminal background history

Desired Qualifications
- Completion of trade school or apprenticeship training program (or equivalent work experience) in one or more general building trades which can include painting
- Bilingual
- Proficient in Spanish
