Job Summary
Groundskeeper responsible for a broad range of landscaping and grounds maintenance tasks on hospital campus. Responsibilities include planning and executing lawn care (seed, sod, mowing, watering), planting trees and flowers, applying fertilizers and weed control products, and organizing snow and ice removal. Tasks also cover maintenance and minor repairs of grounds equipment, collaboration with external landscaping specialists as needed, and willingness to be available for call-ins during emergencies. The role requires operating snow removal equipment, coordinating ice/snow removal across lots and roadways, and performing related duties in support of a clean, safe, and attractive outdoor environment for patients, residents, and staff.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in landscaping or related trades preferred
- Physical ability to lift over 35 lbs and perform outdoor duties
- Good mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools and equipment
- Ability to work in varying outdoor conditions and snow/ice removal situations
