Job Summary
Part-time Groundskeeper for Fort Wayne FC to maintain the natural grass field at Concordia Theological Seminary. Responsible for mowing, trimming, weeding, overseeding, aeration, fertilization, and other turf management tasks; field preparation for training sessions, matches, and events (line painting, divot repairs, ensuring optimal playing conditions); safe operation of groundskeeping equipment; general maintenance and debris removal; monitoring field conditions and coordinating maintenance as needed; work 3–5 times per week or per schedule; adhere to safety procedures and organizational policies. The role emphasizes physical outdoor work with an emphasis on attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced athletic environment.
Required Qualifications
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays)
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding outdoor work
- Excellent verbal communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Experience operating groundskeeping equipment (mowers, rollers, trimmers, blowers, utility vehicles) is preferred
