Job Summary

Cut grass, edge walks, trim shrubs, and prune trees to remove dead branches or suckers. Weed landscape beds, clean grounds daily, and perform leaf cleanup and snow removal with salt application. Plant grass, trees, and bulbs while assisting with irrigation operations. Repair fences, gates, walks, walls, and irrigation lines; clean drainage grates and ditches. Sweep dirt and debris from walks, driveways, stairwells, and the parking garage. Empty trash containers daily, rotate and water public area plants, and assist with recycling. Perform special projects, miscellaneous deliveries, and preventative maintenance on equipment. Requires valid Ohio driver's license, ability to operate tractors, mowers, and skid steers, and familiarity with landscaping tools. Full-time role with hourly pay of $19.75.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • one or two years related experience and / or training
  • equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior landscaping and maintenance experience
  • valid Ohio driver's license
  • Ability to drive vehicles, including pickup trucks
  • Must be able to use various hand tools
  • operate various landscaping equipment, such as, but not limited to tractors with implements, mowers, trimmers, blowers, lawn edgers, chain saws, tow motors and Bobcat skid steers
  • Must occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds
