Job Summary
The Groundskeeper maintains District and campus grounds and landscaping to provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students and staff. Responsibilities include removing debris, maintaining athletic fields and sprinklers, irrigating and servicing irrigation systems, pruning and caring for trees, grass, shrubs, and other greenery, cleaning surfaces, maintaining tools and equipment, and assisting other trades. The role requires following instructions, prioritizing assignments with minimal supervision, practicing safety, communicating effectively, and delivering excellent customer service to the public while upholding confidentiality and district policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred; AND six months previous landscaping or grounds maintenance experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- A valid Arizona State Driver's License is required.
- Possess a valid Arizona DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card or obtain one within the first 90 workdays of employment.
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Six months of landscaping or grounds maintenance experience preferred
- Valid Arizona driver’s license
- Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain within first 90 workdays
