Job Summary
Maintain and upkeep all grounds, including plants, trees, lawn areas, drives, walkways, ponds, irrigation systems, and snow and ice removal. Perform cutting, trimming, seeding, irrigation, and chemical application for lawns and flower beds. Clean debris, remove snow and ice, spread sand and ice melt, and repair walkways, trails, drives, and parking areas. Conduct tree maintenance, including trimming and removal, and perform maintenance, repairs, and winterization of irrigation systems. Maintain landscaping equipment and tools, and report equipment and supply needs to the supervisor. Keep the supervisor informed of all problems or unusual matters requiring prompt corrective action.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Three months related experience or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Safe driving record
- Ability to obtain a Missouri class E or Arkansas P designated driver's license
- Ability to work well with a team

- Real concern for customer service
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
