Job Summary
Maintain building exteriors, breezeways, hallways, and common areas by performing daily cleaning of light fixtures, mailboxes, entry doors, stairs, and railings. Remove debris throughout the community including amenities, walkways, and the leasing office daily. Clean amenity restrooms and restock supplies while ensuring compactors and trash chutes are cleaned in the mornings. Assist the maintenance team with scheduled preventative maintenance programs and help keep the workshop neat and orderly. Report hazardous situations or areas needing correction to the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager. Adhere to OSHA standards, attend monthly safety trainings, and maintain a professional uniform. Work outdoors 66% to 100% of the time with flexibility for longer hours.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- English required
- Willingness to pitch in and work in areas other than strictly grounds keeping i.e., janitorial, painting etc.
- Ability to assist the Maintenance Supervisor, Property Manager in his/her duties as needed
- Constant need to be on feet (66% - 100% of the time)
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Expectations to be outdoors (66% - 100%) and indoors (1% - 33%) of the time
- Flexibility to work longer work hours in order to fulfill job duties if necessary
- Responsible for knowledge of management company and community policies and procedures
- Responsible for the care and maintenance of all equipment and supplies owned by the community
- Complete required training courses either online or in person meetings
- Follow all OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Act) standards and company safety policies
- Attend monthly Safety Trainings
- Report any hazardous or risk liability situations to the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager
- Responsible for maintaining the required property uniform and always ensuring a professional appearance and demeanor
