Job Summary
Grounds Worker responsible for maintaining campus grounds: mowing, trimming, edging, raking, mulching, leaf removal; assist with planting, pruning, watering, fertilizing, and care of trees, shrubs, flowers, lawns, and garden beds; support upkeep of campus pathways, courtyards, athletic fields, and outdoor areas; remove trash from outdoor spaces; monitor irrigation systems and plant health, reporting leaks, damaged heads, dry zones, pests, or disease; assist with seasonal tasks including snow and ice removal and seasonal planting installations. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and ability to operate hand tools and motorized equipment and lift >50 pounds. Schedule Monday–Friday 7:00am-3:30pm with mandatory overtime and some weekend work; essential personnel. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- valid driver’s license with satisfactory DMV record
- experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, horticulture, or related labor work (preferred)
- ability to operate hand tools/motorized equipment and lift/move materials over 50 pounds
