Job Summary
Maintain outdoor spaces, including yards, campuses, and DCU properties, ensuring they remain visually appealing, safe, and functional. Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, cutting trees, spraying pests, and removing debris. Manage garbage and waste removal to the DCU main, service low places equipment, and report defects. Fill and maintain fish and deer feeders, and service well houses during cold months. Assist the maintenance crew on special projects and indoor work when weather prevents outdoor labor. Requires at least two years of experience, proficiency with hand tools, mowers, chainsaws, tractors, and skid steers, and the ability to lift 50 pounds while enduring extreme climate conditions.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years relative experience
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Be able to repetitively use small hand tools, mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, tractors, skid steers (and associated attachments) proficiently
- Be able to stand all shift, if needed
- Prolonged periods of lifting
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to endure extreme climate conditions
