Job Summary
Maintain the general upkeep and cleanliness of the apartment community, including parking lots, building corridors, stairwells, and mechanical rooms. Collect and remove trash, weed beds, and edge landscape borders while raking grounds and sweeping sidewalks. Monitor the irrigation system for adequate watering, repair sprinkler heads and lines, and report unhealthy vegetation to management. Work outdoors in temperatures above 90 degrees or below 32 degrees Fahrenheit, shoveling snow and spreading salt as needed. Perform additional duties assigned by the supervisor while maintaining a professional appearance and communicating effectively with residents and co-workers.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to shovel snow and/or clear ice from walks, driveways, or parking lots and spread salt in those areas during snow season
- Ability to work outdoors in temperatures above 90 degrees or below 32 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and push or pull up to 80 pounds
- Maintain a professional appearance following team dress code policy
- Able to effectively and professionally communicate with residents and co-workers
- Basic computer skills and comfort learning software, apps, and programs
- Have reliable transportation and valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in irrigation is a plus
