Job Summary
Examine the property to remove litter, debris, and other items ensuring the area is always clean and orderly. Inform supervisors of potential hazards and harmful situations to residents, team members, and guests. Remove trash debris from apartments prior to occupancy and clean maintenance areas as needed. Complete minor and routine service requests, support cost-cutting programs by verifying parts for repair, and distribute communications to residents. Respond respectfully to complaints about maintenance services and assign work requests according to urgency and efficiency. Ensure safety information is current while complying with OSHA and other safety laws. Work indoors approximately 25% of the time and outdoors 75% of the time, standing all day and lifting 25 lbs. or more. Shifts may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays with overtime as business needs deem appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Driver's license to operate machinery in property
- Work indoors approximately 25% of the time and outdoors approximately 75% of the time
- Use olfactory, auditory, and visual senses
- Work standing all day
- Lift 25 lbs. or more
- Climb up and down stairs and ladders
- Access remote work areas and confined spaces (i.e., crawl spaces, roofs)
- Use full range of manual dexterity (i.e., sitting, squatting, bending, kneeling, walking, and lifting)
- Meet the shift working requirements of the assigned property; shifts may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and some holidays
- Work overtime as business needs deem appropriate
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution preferred
- One or more years of related experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail, organization, and strong multitasking abilities
