Job Summary
Fall and Winter: create, maintain, and repair ice surfaces for two rinks; operate resurfacing equipment; manage rink attendant schedules; oversee routine maintenance; ensure safe, high-quality ice for hockey and events. Spring/Summer: maintain campus grounds, fields, irrigation, and outdoor facilities; operate light machinery; perform routine grounds upkeep; assist with athletic events setup and takedown; ensure clean, safe campus environment. Knowledge of ice rink operations, snow removal, grounds maintenance, irrigation, and pest management preferred; must have a valid driver’s license and be 21+; background check required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid operator's license with the ability to operate ice resurfacing equipment required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience with ice rink operations and maintenance equipment, grounds equipment and other machinery required
- Irrigation operation experience helpful
- Pesticide applicator license and knowledge of Integrated Pest Management Practices preferred
- Experience working with adolescents in an educational setting preferred
- Experience in an institutional or campus setting
- Must be at least 21 years old
