Job Summary
Conduct overall maintenance of the camp-resort, including facilities, equipment, and resort appearance. Inspect and maintain recreation facilities and equipment, manage mowing, weed-wicking, and weeding tasks. Maintain a planned maintenance program to ensure sites and services operate without interruption. Learn to check and balance chemicals in the pool. Remove trash and prepare campsites for new guests. Attend weekly team meetings. Must be available weekends and evenings, including weekend and holiday hours. Requires exceptional guest relations skills and willingness to work overtime. This physically active role involves lifting up to 50 pounds and working in various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as maintenance technician
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
- Must be available weekends and evenings
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in outdoor weather conditions (hot and humid, rainy, extreme temperatures, airborne particles)
- Weekend & holiday hours are required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience driving large tractors is a plus
- Possess exceptional guest relations skills
