Job Summary
Maintain facility grounds through mowing, trimming vegetation, edging pavements, and weeding flower beds. Clean outdoor areas, remove debris, maintain playground sand, and perform routine grounds policing. Assist with light facility support tasks including minor cleanups, assisting with renovations, and managing security fencing for on-site and off-site projects. Requires high school diploma, three years of grounds maintenance experience, and physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds. Work in all weather conditions including temperature extremes, rain, and snow. Part of a mission-driven organization supporting over 2,000 individuals and families across the Greater Richmond area.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least three years of general experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or a related field
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform repetitive bending, kneeling, and overhead lifting
- Ability to work safely in all weather conditions, including temperature extremes, rain, and snow
- Strong work ethic
- Dependability
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
