Job Summary
Perform routine landscaping and grounds maintenance at the San Francisco National Cemetery, including mowing, trimming, edging, and planting; maintain lawns, trees, shrubs, and flower beds; apply horticultural best practices for soil care, irrigation, pruning, and seasonal upkeep; assist with burial/interment ceremonies and gravesite preparation; operate and maintain landscaping equipment; monitor for safety issues and report promptly; maintain clean pathways and assist with seasonal tasks; interact respectfully with visitors and coworkers while upholding a solemn cemetery atmosphere.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or horticulture preferred
- Knowledge of landscaping techniques, plant care, and equipment operation
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Respectful demeanor and understanding of cemetery work
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
