Job Summary
Walk the property frequently to remove litter, debris, cigarette butts, and pet droppings from critical zones including the management office, pool area, laundry room, pathways, stairways, dumpster areas, recreation grounds, and parking lots. Perform daily "trash out" duties at vacated apartments by removing abandoned furniture, trash, and boxes, then transfer items to dumpsters or storage. Transfer items left outside dumpsters, sweep areas, and keep dumpster doors closed when not in use. Assist with routine maintenance tasks as directed by the property manager, including make-readies, painting, service requests, lock changes, and distributing resident communications and notices.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to physically walk the property on a frequent basis
- Must be able to remove litter, debris, cigarette butts and pet droppings from the grounds
- Must be able to keep Management Office, pool area, laundry room, mail kiosk/room, pathways to vacant units, stairways and breezeways, dumpster areas, recreation areas, grounds adjacent to the road, in front of the office, walkways to and from and in between building, exterior lighting fixtures and parking lots and drives neat and free of litter
- Must be able to perform trash out duties at vacated apartments daily
- Must be able to remove all abandoned furniture, trash and boxes
- Must be able to transfer trash and other items left outside of dumpster into dumpster
- Must be able to pickup, sweep area, and keep dumpster doors closed when not in use
- Must be able to perform routine maintenance on property as directed by property manager
- Must be able to assist with make readies
- Must be able to assist with painting interior/exterior
- Must be able to assist with routine service requests
- Must be able to change locks
- Must be able to distribute resident communications to residents
- Must be able to perform unit inspections
- Must be able to handle pest control notices
- Must be able to distribute newsletters
