Job Summary
Grounds Keeper role focusing on landscaping, grounds maintenance, woodsman and forestry tasks, facility and trail upkeep, event support, and seasonal outdoor work. Responsibilities include mowing, weed-eating, hedge trimming, cleaning exterior areas, removing debris, clearing fallen trees, assisting with controlled burns, operating chainsaws and forestry equipment, stacking firewood, maintaining trails, and supporting seasonal cleanup and snow removal. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid MVR, familiarity with landscaping and forestry equipment, and knowledge of tree care and safety protocols. Work schedule is Mon-Thu 7:30 AM–5:00 PM and Fri 7:30 AM–12:00 PM with possible seasonal adjustments; physical effort up to 50 lbs and exposure to outdoor conditions. Two Macon, GA locations listed; on-site work with local supervision by Property Manager and owners.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Acceptable 3-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Familiarity with landscaping, groundskeeping, and some farm and forestry machinery
- Basic knowledge of tree care, forestry practices, and chainsaw operation
