Job Summary
The Grounds II position is responsible for maintaining campus grounds safely and efficiently, including tasks like campus cleanup, mowing, tree and shrub care, landscape planting and construction, equipment repair, and snow/ice removal. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of grounds experience, an associative degree or certificate, and several relevant certifications including small equipment repair, welding, and pesticide licenses. Overtime is required for emergency situations, and applicants must be able to lift 50 pounds and work professionally across the campus community.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or certificate
- Minimum of 5 years relevant grounds experience
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to perform all operations safely
- Ability to effectively deal with all levels of the campus community with professionalism
Desired Qualifications
- Small equipment repair certification with 3 years relevant licenses or demonstrated ability to perform duties of small equipment repair
- Welding certification
- JLG certification
- Pesticide license
Additional Requirements
