Job Summary
Maintain and enhance the appearance, safety, and functionality of Lancaster Bible College's grounds and outdoor spaces through mowing, landscape maintenance, snow removal, and campus event support. Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and routine repairs on departmental vehicles and grounds equipment, including small engine repair and hydraulic system diagnostics. Operate commercial mowers, tractors, UTVs, skid loaders, and snow removal machinery while supervising and training student employees. Participate in on-call responsibilities for storm operations and emergency responses. Maintain service records, equipment inventories, and safety documentation. Requires a high school diploma, three to five years of experience, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three to five years of experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, equipment operation, or a related field
- Experience performing preventative maintenance and repairs of grounds equipment
- Experience with small engine repair
- Knowledge of hydraulic, fuel, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Valid driver's license
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and vendors
- The desire to grow, develop, and mature, both spiritually and professionally
- The ability to create and maintain a Christian professional atmosphere in all internal and external relationships

- Ability to safely operate commercial mowers, tractors, UTVs, skid loaders, snow removal equipment, and hand and power tools
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials, climb ladders, work at elevated heights, and perform repetitive physical tasks in varying weather conditions
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for on-call responsibilities
Desired Qualifications
- Welding experience (MIG and/or Stick)
