Job Summary
Operate and maintain a range of grounds maintenance equipment (mowers, tractors, trimmers, edgers, blowers, and other power tools) to support turf maintenance, landscaping, irrigation system upkeep, and seasonal snow/ice removal. Perform routine lawn care (mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, seeding), assist with landscaping features, monitor irrigation, and ensure safety/compliance. Maintain equipment, assist with documentation, and collaborate with team members. Requires ability to follow instructions, work independently, and meet safety standards; valid CDL license with a clean driving record; may need a Pesticide Application License. Role supports a 12-month academic-year calendar with 8-hour days and a minimum pay rate of $19/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience operating grounds maintenance equipment preferred
- Knowledge of turf care techniques, landscaping principles, and irrigation systems
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Valid CDL license with a clean driving record
- May be required to obtain a Pesticide Application License
