Job Summary
Groundperson needed at Blooming Glen Quarry to support production and maintenance, including quarry cleanliness, backhoe operations, and water truck duties as needed. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, action-oriented, detail-minded, and excels at teamwork. CDL is not required. Responsibilities include adhering to MSHA and company safety policies, performing plant maintenance, maintaining clean work areas, learning plant functions, taking direction from site personnel, cross-training to cover multiple roles, and substituting when necessary. The role emphasizes safety, collaboration, and hands-on support across quarry operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or related experience
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE
- Physical capability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Experience operating heavy equipment preferred (loader)
- Experience in quarry, heavy civil construction, or outdoor industrial setting preferred
- MSHA or other relevant safety certification preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Teamwork and ability to follow directions
