Job Summary
Groundperson responsibilities include assisting crew by controlling lowering ropes, limbs and persons from aloft, supplying tools to tree workers, managing road and sidewalk traffic with warning devices, and performing cutting, chipping, loading of brush and wood along with proper job-site cleanup. Qualifications emphasize a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred), a valid driver’s license with CDL preferred, and licenses/certifications such as pesticide/herbicide as applicable by state law, plus line clearance certification when operating near utility transmission lines.
