Job Summary
Perform new construction, maintain, and repair underground electrical distribution systems, underground conductors, and related hardware while prioritizing safety protocols and PPE use. Maintain excavation equipment including backhoes, trenchers, and excavators, and work outdoors in varying environmental conditions such as extreme heat, cold, rain, and wind. Be available for outages, storms, and emergencies on call rotation, willing to travel long distances and work extended periods including weekends and holidays. Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- ability to obtain a CDL within 60 days
- Willingness to travel long distances on short notice
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and overtime
- Ability to work outdoors in varying environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, and inclement weather
- Availability to work outages, storms, and emergencies including on call rotation
- Comprehensive understanding of insulated protective cover to isolate differences of potential
- Ability to talk, listen and use hand signals to communicate
- Ability to stand
- Ability to walk
- Ability to use hands and fingers to handle objects, operate tools or controls
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Understanding of when to wear personal protective equipment
- Ability to perform rigorous physical labor
