Job Summary
Groundman - Underground position is entry level and supports construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical underground distribution systems. Responsibilities include setting pad mount transformers, working around energized high voltage systems, rigging, hand-tools use, PPE compliance, climbing structures, working in underground trenches/manholes, and occasional travel to other states. Must be able to lift over 50 lbs, read and communicate in English, obtain CDL permit within 60 days, and be willing to travel and work overtime; the role requires safety-conscious, physically capable team players.
Required Qualifications
- No experience necessary
- Able to read and communicate effectively in English
- Able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days of employment
- A Commercial Driver’s License is preferred
- Willing to travel long distances on short notice
- Willing to work extended periods in various locations
- Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs
- Willing to work overtime including weekends and holidays
