Job Summary
Install electrical systems, perform alterations and repairs on high-voltage transmission lines and substations, and safely operate aerial lifts up to 120 feet. Maintain clean work areas, organize tools and equipment, and comply with federal job safety requirements including O.S.H.A. standards. Install switchgear, conduit, and work on wood and steel structures while using hand and power tools such as saws, threaders, and hydraulic benders. Report to assigned job sites on time with your own transportation, holding a valid driver's license and Class A CDL. This pipeline requisition considers future openings for skilled personnel at Brink Constructors, Inc.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or G.E.D.
- Current active driver's license
- Valid Driver's License
- Own transportation
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- DOT physical
- Current DOT medical card
- Class A CDL
- Ability to safely use all power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders and KO punches
- Ability to use hand tools
- Ability to work from all types of aerial lifts
- Ability to perform work at various heights upwards to 120 feet
- Ability to acquire / maintain personal hand tools and other tools necessary for this position
- Ability to learn equipment operations (crane, flatbed truck, trailer, forklift, aerial lift)
- Ability to install switchgear and its terminations
- Ability to install all sizes of conduit
- Ability to properly install assigned work on wood and steel structures
- Ability to accurately read labels, job site maps/directions, instruction manuals and written instructions
- Ability to clearly understand and comply with Brink Constructors and Federal Job Safety Requirements
- Ability to report to assigned job site location on time as directed
- Ability to maintain and properly store tools and equipment
- Ability to properly use and safe handle tools, equipment and materials
- Ability to accurately organize materials and tools in order to maintain clean and neat work area
- Ability to assist in various job duties as directed
- Ability to quickly learn functions of the jobs
- Ability to perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
