Job Summary
Install new infrastructure by pulling primary and secondary cable, making connections in hand holes, transformers, and electrical panels, and assisting with overhead and underground primary connections. Operate hydraulic equipment including boom trucks, diggers, pole tampers, and bucket trucks, while driving company vehicles to job sites and conducting daily inspections. Load and unload tools, materials, and supplies at crew headquarters and job sites, and perform physical tasks such as lifting, digging holes by hand, climbing poles, and working at heights above 35 feet. Work as part of a construction crew under the guidance of a Journeyman, adhering to OSHA regulations and attending daily tailboard meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to read maps
- Willingness and ability to work outdoors where they will experience extreme temperatures and possibly noise
- Ability to safely operate heavy equipment, forklifts, and mobile cranes accordance to OSHA regulations
- Ability to verify eligibility to work in the United States
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Self-starting
