Job Summary
The Groundman will provide general labor skills including shoveling, pulling cable, and maintaining a safe working environment. Responsibilities include assisting with traffic control, manually loading/unloading materials, checking oil and fuel levels on trucks, and safely using construction hand tools. The position requires regular lifting of up to 100lbs, working outdoors in various weather conditions, and the ability to work both alone and as part of a team. Candidates must have experience with hand tools and a valid driver's license, and be able to pass a drug test and background check.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in operating various hand tools
- Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, DOT, and background check
- Available for work requiring travel
- 21 years of age or older
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- WA State CDL-A
- Prior construction experience
- Aerial cable installation experience
- Underground construction experience
- Splicing experience
- Certified Pole Climber
Additional Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
