Job Summary
Conduct new construction, maintain, and repair overhead electrical distribution systems, including installing and fixing power lines, poles, insulators, and conductors. Perform rigorous physical labor while inspecting rubber goods and personal protective equipment, adhering to all safety protocols and PPE standards. Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working order. Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, and storm scenarios. Available for outages, emergencies, and on-call rotation, willing to travel long distances and work outside normal business hours.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- ability to obtain a CDL within 60 days
- Willingness to travel long distances on short notice
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and overtime
- Comprehensive understanding of insulated protective cover to isolate differences of potential
- Understanding of when to wear personal protective equipment
