Groundman - Overhead (Duke)

Job Summary
Construct, repair, and maintain overhead electrical distribution systems, including installing and fixing power lines, poles, insulators, and conductors. Perform new construction while adhering to strict safety protocols, PPE inspection, and insulated protective cover procedures. Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools in operational condition. Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and wind. Available for outages, storms, and emergencies on an on-call rotation, including weekends, holidays, and overtime. Willing to travel long distances on short notice and work extended periods at out-of-state job sites. Requires rigorous physical labor involving lifting up to 50 pounds and communicating via hand signals.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- ability to obtain a CDL within 60 days
- Willingness to travel long distances on short notice
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and overtime
