Job Summary
Assist in the daily operations of aggregate production by working around crushers, screens, conveyors, and heavy equipment. Perform routine inspections of machinery to identify maintenance needs, monitor material flow, and ensure proper feed and discharge. Clean, lubricate, and maintain equipment while preparing project sites by removing debris and ensuring an organized work environment. Transport materials and operate construction machinery such as forklifts or skid steers as necessary. Adhere to MSHA regulations, company safety standards, and lockout/tagout procedures during all tasks. Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and site audits as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Ability to work in varying outdoor weather conditions and noisy environments
- Manual dexterity required to operate tools and equipment
- Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and moving machinery
- Flexibility to perform various tasks as assigned
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in the aggregate or mining industry
- MSHA Part 46 or Part 48 training certification or ability to obtain upon hire
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn aggregate plant operations
