Job Summary
Act as a hands-on field superintendent for ground-up building and site construction projects, managing crews of five or more while reading and understanding construction plans. Schedule subcontractors efficiently to maintain project timelines and generate four-week look-ahead schedules using MS Project. Perform physical tasks including lifting 50 pounds, setting up forms, pouring concrete, wood framing, and steel framing as job requirements dictate. Commute from Davis to Tahoe, Chico to Modesto for a 40-hour, Monday through Friday schedule from 7am to 4pm. This role requires verifiable experience in metal roofing, siding, building erection, carpentry, or concrete setup, with references and proof of legal work status.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of verifiable experience as a lead man or foreman for a crew of 5 men or more
- proficiency in reading and understanding plans
- own hand tools, hard hat, work boots, etc.
- ability to lift 50 pounds with no restrictions
- ability to schedule subcontractors in an organized fashion to maintain high efficiency on the job sites and maintain the project schedule
- proficiency in MS Project and ability to generate 4-week look ahead schedules
- References to verify experience
- High school or equivalent
- experience in Metal Roofing installation - 5 years minimum
- experience in Metal Siding Installation - 5 years minimum
- experience in Metal Building Erection - 5 years minimum
- experience in Wood Carpentry - 5 years minimum
- experience in Concrete Setup - 5 years minimum
- Driver's License
- Forklift certification
- Boom lift certification
- Scissor lift certification
Desired Qualifications
- experience installing standing seam metal roofing and trim
- experience installing metal wall panels and trim
- experience setting up forms or pouring concrete
- wood framing experience
