Job Summary
Ground Support Equipment Worker in San Diego, CA, performing repairs and maintenance on GSE under the supervision of a Mechanic. Responsibilities include troubleshooting with digital multimeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, frequency counters, oscilloscopes, and other testers; preparing equipment for storage and transport; maintaining equipment records in automated systems; servicing fuel, oil, hydraulics, refrigerants, and hazardous materials per standards; disassembly/reassembly of components; labeling and safety/compliance; and supporting aircraft maintenance with dispatch and equipment positioning. Position may require travel to remote locations and may involve security clearance. Strong emphasis on safety, quality, and environmental compliance, with preferred knowledge in hydraulics, pneumatics, diesel engines, crane systems, rigging, and electrical troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- 2 years recent experience on Automotive/Mobile Equipment and/or related training in inspection, maintenance, repair and modification of powered ground support equipment
- Ability to meet physical requirements and lift up to 50 pounds
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to obtain/maintain Active U.S. Government Clearance and CAC
- English literacy (read/write/speak)
